Taste 01 Oak Brook and Independence Day Celebration on July 3, 2011
Oak Brook, Illinois (June 24, 20117 3:00 PM) —The Village of Oak Brook will once again host the Taste of Oak
Brook sponsored by McDonald's followed by the Independence Day Fireworks display. The Taste event will be held
on Sunday, July 3d, from 2:00 — 9:00 PM and will feature restaurants in Oak Brook and the surrounding area.
"The Village is excited to be hosting this year's event with our premier sponsor, McDonald's Corporation, as both the
Village and the Nation celebrate this holiday weekend," said Gopal Lalmalani, Village President. "I am sure residents,
neighbors, family and friends will enjoy food from some of Oak Brook's finest restaurants and I hope everyone stays
for the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m"
Jim Skinner, CEO of McDonald's Corporation, is pleased that McDonald's is playing a role at the event. "As the
largest corporation in Oak Brook, McDonald's is thrilled again to be the leading sponsor of the event," said Skinner.
We feel fortunate that we have this opportunity to support the community."
Participating restaurants include: Anyways Restaurant &Pub, Gibsons Bar &Steakhouse, India House, Kama Indian
Bistro, Kona Grill, LaBriola Bakery Cafe, McDonald's Corporation, Reza's Restaurant, The Grotto, and Tuscany Italian
Restaurant. Each of these restaurants will feature specialty cuisine and will surely please everyone's taste, including
some children's items. In addition the Beverage Tent featuring beer, wine, water and soda drinks and a separate
Sangria tent will also be available at reasonable prices.
The Village is excited to announce the addition of live bands, which will begin at 2 PM with Stockwood; 3:45 PM,
Sixteen Candles; 6 PM, Hi Infidelity; 7:45 PM, Frank Lamphere and at 8:20 PM, musical DJ- Bang, The 2011 Taste
will also have several additional children's activities including: balloon artists, face painters, a magician, a stiltwalker,
Mad Science, petting zoo and the Jesse White Tumbling Team. Purchase of tickets for food, beverages and children's
activity wristbands are available only on the event date via several onsite ticket booths. Food and beverage items
range from 3 tickets to 8 tickets and cost $1.00 per ticket. The children activities wristband, which allows kid's access
to all the children activities, costs $5.00. An ATM machine will also be available on site for easy access.

The Village would like to recognize the following organizations for donating the use of their parking space for this
years' event: Butler School District #53, Christ Church, The Lions Club, NAI Hiffman and the John Buck Company.
The Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce is also recognized for their assistance with this years Taste.
