OAK BROOK POLO 2014!
OAK BROOK, IL – MAY 29, 2014 – The 89th Anniversary of Polo in Oak Brook promises to be more
exciting than ever before! Held on the Oak Brook Polo Grounds on York Road between 22nd Street and
31st Street (follow the signs), matches are scheduled on five themed Sundays at 1pm and 3:30pm:
July 6 ‐‐ Hat Day
July 13 ‐‐ Family Day
August 10 ‐‐ Classic Car Day & Hollywood Returns to Oak Brook Polo
August 17 ‐‐ British Day
September 14 ‐‐ Argentina Day
(Rain Days ‐‐ August 24 and September 21)
Chukkers, hockey on horseback, a sport played by warriors and kings for over 2,000 years. There will be
world class players and Hollywood stars taking the field this year. Come see and feel the excitement of
Polo in Oak Brook!
Tickets ‐‐ General Admission ($15 residents, $25 nonresidents, Children 12 and under free with paid
family member), VIP Tent Access ($65), and Season Passes ($100 General Admission, $260 VIP Tent) are
available through Eventbrite on the Village of Oak Brook website or at the Oak Brook Village Hall,
Library, or Golf Clubhouse. Polo Picnics, Group Sales, and Private Parties during the events can also be
arranged. And, if you run a business, there are still opportunities for advertising and sponsorship or
even a company outing!
Note: with Grandstands being added this year and a wide variety of food and beverages available ‐‐ no
chairs, blankets, or coolers will be allowed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
