Village of Oak Brook 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
Oak Brook, Illinois (August 20, 2015) - In honor of the men and women who lost their
lives on September 11, 2001, the Village of Oak Brook will be presenting a Memorial
Ceremony. This public ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015, at
11:00 a.m. at the Village of Oak Brook Village Hall, located at 1200 Oak Brook
Road. The event will include a color guard, patriotic songs, speakers, and other
ceremonial customs. Last year, our 9/11 Memorial Ceremony was attended by more
than 100 residents, signifying an important tradition for our community.
About the Village of Oak Brook:
Founded in 1958, the Village of Oak Brook is located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago and is
in proximity to the junction of Interstates 88, 294, and 290. The Village consists mostly of
residential subdivisions, with the exception of the Oak Brook Center shopping mall, other retail
