OAK BROOK, IL —May 2014 —The Oak Brook Police Department, along with Officers from
several area agencies responded to the area of Jorie Blvd and Kroc Drive for approximately
1,000 people in the roadway during an organized, non-violent demonstration to protest minimum
wages for fast food workers. Protestors were warned multiple times they did not have
authorization to enter onto on the private property of McDonald's Campus. At about 1318
hours, protestors entered onto McDonald's property, and over 100 protestors sat down at the
guardhouse. At about 1338 hours, Protestors stood and began marching further onto
McDonald's property.
At 1343 hours,. Officers began to make arrests for Criminal Trespass to Property. 138 people
were arrested and charged with an Ordinance Violation of Criminal Trespass. Offenders were
processed and released from the Butler Government Center.
