Oak Brook Police Department Announces Memorial Day
Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Results
OAK BROOK, IL —May 2014 —The Oak Brook Police Department joined forces with other
state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the Illinois Memorial Day campaign.
The campaign featured high -visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities
which included a strategic media campaign as well as additional enforcement activity.
During the. mobilization, the Oak Brook Police Department issued:
• 1 DUI Arrest
• 1 Warrant Arrest
• 19 speeding citations
• 10 Uninsured Motor Vehicle citations
• 8 other citations
• 1 Safety Belt citation
• 4 Distracted Driving/ Cell Phone Citations
• 24 Written Warnings
This law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety grants through IDOT's
sion of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click
It or Ticket" campaigns.
