OAK BROOK, IL —March 14, 2014- The men and women of the Oak Brook Police Department are
kicking off their 2014 Special Olympics fundraising campaign by partnering with Labriola Bakery Cafe
for a night of fun and delicious food.
On March 28, 2014 from 4:OOpm until 8:30pm, members of the Oak Brook Police Department will put
down the ticket book and put on an apron and serve restaurant guests at Labriola Bakery Cafe, located at
the Oak Brook Promenade at Butterfield and Meyers Roads in our 4th "Tip -a -Cop" fundraiser with
Labriola. Officers will work alongside Labriola employees, greeting guests at the entrance, taking food or
beverage orders, and bringing food to and from tables. In addition to any gratuities given to the wait staff
of Labriola, restaurant guests have an opportunity to "tip" their Oak Brook Police representative in the
form of a monetary donation to Special Olympics of Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity to have
fun, get to know your Oak Brook Police Department, eat the delicious and fresh food of Labriola Bakery
Cafe, and raise money for a great cause.
Special Olympics of Illinois is an organization with resources that provide encouragement, year-round
sports paining, and involvement in 19 different Olympic -type events for more than 32,000 athletes with
intellectual disabilities.
