Oak Brook Police Respond to Suspicious Package
Oak Brook, IL— At approximately 10:42 AM the Oak Brook Police Department
received a 911 call about a suspicious package at 2111 Mc Donalds Drive,
McDonald's Security evacuated approximately 1,300 employees from the building
as a safety precaution. The Oak Brook Police Department, Fire Department and
DuPage County Bomb Squad responded to the scene. At approximately 1:00 PM
the package was determined to be safe by the DuPage County Bomb Squad. It
was determined to be a digital media player.
"Everyone at the incident acted according to proper procedures to ensure public
safety. Upon arrival, everyone's training kicked in and the situation ended safely.
I would like to thank McDonald's Corporation and the DuPage County Bomb
