Summer Reading Begins June 4!
Hands-Only CPR Presented by Project SMILE
Saturday, June 11 at 1 pm
Join volunteers from Project SMILE (Saving More Illinois Lives
through Education) to learn adult and child hands-only CPR, choking
relief and using an AED (automated external defibrillator). The guidelines for CPR
during the COVID-19 pandemic will also be discussed. Participants will have the
opportunity to practice their newly learned skills on manikins. Project SMILE is a
community CPR awareness project initiated by the Chicago Medical Society in
2011. Ages 14 and up.
Illinois Watercolor Society Meeting & Artist Demonstration
Saturday, June 18 at 2 pm
We are excited to welcome back the Illinois Watercolor Society with a
demonstration by artist Joan Bredendick. “I use watercolor paint as a
medium without preconceptions of what a "watercolor" painting
should look like. Bringing light, beauty, whimsy into your field of vision
for the brief moment I have your attention. All art is significant.” —

Staying Positive During Challenging Times

Join motivational speaker Tom Kens as he draws on humor, drama,
video and testimonies to share 10 essential practices to help you
maintain a positive attitude despite the odds. Tom is a proud veteran
of the armed forces, founder of the Sole Seekers Walking Club™,
self-help author and healthy living teacher at Moraine Valley Community College.

Introducing the Beacon Book Club!
We are excited to announce our new adult book discussion group. We hope you
can join us for a lively hour-long discussion on a variety of books that
will meet on the 4th Wednesday at 7 pm or the 4th Thursday at 10 am.
Bring your cup of coffee and ideas, we can’t wait to see you!

of Reptiles

town of Oceanside. The members of
the Beach Bums Investigation Team
are planning a trip to the town
shoreline when a mysterious phone call to the team’s
clubhouse arrives with a desperate cry for help from the
beach…then the phone goes dead! Join us in an
audience interactive theatre experience & help the
Beach Bums Investigative Team follow the clues to
solve the ocean mystery before it’s too late!
