Thank you for including the UIC NICU in your Hugs and Kisses program. You may also be interested to know that our NICU welcomes Cuddlers, volunteers trained to hold and cuddle the babies in our nursery. This program is especially important as the human touch is a vital part of this developmentally supportive environment. With substantially long stays in the nursery, many parents are unable to be with their children24/7. Forthis reason, Cuddlers have become essential to our care.
