Illinois Watercolor Society Meeting & Demonstration

This month’s featured artist is Robert Krajecki. Bob currently teaches
watercolor painting in his hometown of Kaneville. Open to the public
and all are welcome.
The History of Graue Mill
Wednesday, October 18 @ 7 pm
Elissa Fink from the DuPage Graue Mill Corporation will discuss the
history of the Graue family, the important role Graue Mill played in the
development of the Fullersburg area, and its relationship to the Underground Railroad.
Artifacts from the organization’s collection will be displayed.

Friends of the Library - Upcoming Programs
Annual Used Book Sale - October 12 - 14
Thursday 9:30 am - 8 pm, Friday 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, Saturday 9:30 am - 3 pm
Thousands of books in excellent condition will be available at a fraction of their retail
price. There is a $5 admission fee until 11 am on Thursday, free for Friends members.
Only cash and checks accepted for payment. All sale proceeds benefit the Library.
Evergreen Concert - Sunday, October 22 @ 3 pm
The Friends present Classical Blast, musicians who blur musical
lines, melding well known classical music into classic rock hits or
rocking music by Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and more.
Introducing Boundless!
On September 27, Axis360 becomes Boundless. Users will need to download the
new Boundless app and log in with library card number and pin. User info and
history, checkouts and holds positions will transition to Boundless.

Toddling 2s & 3s Storytime with Miss Theresa
Tuesdays, October 3 & 17 @ 10:30 - 11 am
This is the perfect program to introduce little ones to the library.
We'll enjoy some good books, sing songs, dance, do
fingerplays & more! We'll also make a craft related to the theme
of the day. A caregiver must stay with each child during the
program. Ages 2-3
Storybook STEAM with Miss Irene
Mondays, October 9 & 23 @ 4:30 - 5:15 pm
Join Miss Irene for stories & a S.T.E.A.M.
(science, technology, engineering, art, math)
related activity during each session. Please note
that projects might be made for display & not for
take home. Projects may also involve food.
Dress for mess & to have fun! Children are
expected to attend on their own. Ages 4-7

Saturday Morning Chess Club

This club is open to players who already have an
understanding of the game. It is a club, not a team,
so players are welcome to join us to improve their

Crafternoons with Miss Brigitte

Join Miss Brigitte’s craft club! Every week we will do a new
craft based on an artist or fall theme! There is a strict age
requirement as some crafts require advanced fine motor skills.

Join professional artist, Terri Murphy as
she guides you in creating a one-of-a-kind
Day of the Dead inspired project. Design
a boney animal with colorful flowers using
cut paper and paint. Ages 8-13.

Day of the Dead Storytime with
Language Labs
Tuesday, October 24 @ 10:30 am
Join the Language Labs in a joyful
celebration remembering & honoring those
who are no longer with us in a Storytime
about The Day of the Dead. We will have
snacks, face painting, & a colorful craft for
the whole family to create together. Ages 2-5
Youth Pickup Craft
Stop by and pick up a fun craft to make at
home! Supplies limited on a first come, first
served basis.
Friday, October 20 - Witchy Witch
Goodbye to Another Season of Butterflies
The Library was delighted to once again partner with the
Hinsdale Rotary Club to take part in Operation Pollination.
Residents were able to watch the progression as we raised
and released Monarch Butterflies.
