Project Updates for the Week of October 29th, 2023

The resurfacing project of Harger Road from Spring Road to the
westbound I-88 entrance ramp continues. All that remains to be
completed is lane striping and landscape restoration that may require
intermittent lane closures during the day. For more information or

The Illinois Tollway has notified the Village that the single lane closures on
22nd Street/Cermak Road crossing I-294 are no longer in place. Expect
periodic shoulder closures in place on 31st Street crossing I-294 in both
directions for bridge painting through the end of October. All work is

The condition of the York Road bridge deck over the I-88 / I-294 connector
ramp continues to be monitored and patched as needed. The Village is in
the process of coordinating the deck and superstructure replacement with
the Illinois Tollway Authority.
Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District is in the process of installing a lift
station at Harger Road east of Spring Road. For more information, please

The DuPage County Division of Transportation has notified the Village
that Midwest Road/Summit Ave, which is a County roadway, is to be
improved/resurfaced this construction season. For more information,

The Illinois Department of Transportation has notified the Village that it is
initiating a crack and joint sealing project along Route 38, which is a State
roadway, from East of Edson Avenue to East of I-294 this construction
season. For more information, please contact IDOT at 847-705-4250
ComEd has notified the Village that it is initiating vegetation maintenance
activities along Meyers Road, 35th Street, and White Oak Lane in the next
few months. Affected residents will be notified via mailed postcard. For
