Using a keyboard and mouseNavigating the file explorerCreating an emailDownloading AppsUsing Microsoft Word and ExcelLearning how to use Libby and Boundless to access e-books and audiobooksPlease call to register for a 30 minute (or less) time slot.

January 1 - January 13Drop off your mini-lights, C7 lights, C9 lights, rope lights, LED lights andextension cords in the marked box in the OBPL parking lot. All colorsand lengths accepted. Garland, live and fake trees, wreaths or otherdecorations NOT accepted.

Reading logs are available to print at home or pick up from the adultdesk on December 23, 2024. When you sign up, you will receive a full-sized candy bar! Return yourcompleted reading logs to us before February 1 to receive a completionprize. A grand prize drawing will also be held. Winners will receive a $100 giftcard to a local Oak Brook restaurant. Winners will be contacted afterFebruary 7.
Kids:
Each reading log will have you track the amount of time spent reading, NOTthe number of books read.
Return your completed reading logs to us before February 1 to receive acompletion prize bag.

A Q&A session with the director will follow the screening.

Join Dr. Ghazala Siddiqui in celebrating the Urdu language.
We invite all patrons to share an Urdu poem, a favored
excerpt from a text, or something you have written.
TEEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAMThe Library offers volunteer opportunities to students entering 8th through 12thgrades. Volunteer duties include assisting library staff with patron hold requests,sorting and shelving materials, and helping librarians with in-person children’sprogramming like story times and other special projects. Applications for the 2024 winter volunteer session are available online and in thelibrary. Each applicant must complete an application and a short alphabetizationquiz to participate. Volunteers receive a confirmation letter of their hours at theend of the session for any extracurricular service hour obligations.3

We will make a craft related to the theme of the day. A caregiver muststay with each child during this program. Registration is required for each child.
DINOSAUR DISCOVERIES T-REXPLORERS!
Saturday, January 25 at 2 pmAges 5 and upSee dinosaur bones up close and get a glimpse of what it’s like to go on a Paleontological dig with authentic dinosaur fossils from species like Triceratops and T-Rex. Kids also get to meet “Green Bean” the Baby Triceratops for 15 minutes prior to the program start time! Fun for the whole family!
