VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK REVIEWED BY VILLAGE BOARD
ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2008.
1.CALL TO ORDER
The Closed Meeting of February 12, 2008 of the Village Board of Trustees was called
to order by President Craig in the Upper Level Conference Room of the Butler
Government Center at 8 :42 p.m.
2.ROLL CALL:
The Village Clerk Charlotte Pruss called the roll with the following persons
PRESENT: President John Craig, Trustees James Carson, Jeffrey J. Kennedy, Kathryn
F.Manofsky, Moin Saiyed and Gerald Wolin
ABSENT: Trustee Robert G. Sanford
IN ATTENDANCE: David Niemeyer, Village Manager; Blaine Wing, Assistant
Village Manager and Mark Sterk, Village Attorney
3.TO DISCUSS MINUTES OF MEETINGS LAWFULLY CLOSED UNDER THE
OPEN MEETINGS ACT, WHETHER FOR THE PURPOSE OF APPROVAL BY THE
BODY OF THE MINUTES, OR FOR SEMI-ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE MINUTES
AS REQUIRED BY THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT (2c21).

President Craig asked whether there were any corrections. Trustee Kennedy
suggested that the name of applicants being considered for a position should be
redacted and there were a couple of scriveners' errors. Consensus was that the
minutes could be released and redacted in the manner suggested by the Village
Attorney.

Manager Niemeyer also brought to the attention of the Board and to get some feedback
regarding Department Head evaluations. Trustee Wolin suggested the Board members
could provide comments of their own and ones that they had heard from the public.
Manager Niemeyer asked for their comments sho1tly so that he could complete those
evaluations. He indicated that he would like to meet with the Board when they are
complete.
Attorney Sterk repo1ted that the Malec and Zelisko case had been settled. He reminded
the Board that this was purely a business decision by IRMA. He reported that he had
also received a number of calls relating to other litigation asking the Village's position
on settlement.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion by Trustee Wolin, seconded by Trustee Manofsky to reconvene from the Closed
Meeting and adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of February 12, 2008
at 9:59 p.m. Voice Vote: Motion Carried
The meeting adjourned at 9:59 p.m.
