Res Motor Fuel Tax Resolution
Salt it Energy Expenditures
Calendar Year 1981
Recommendation: That the President & Board of Trustees approve the
attached resolution in the amount of $60500.00,
which will allow us to make expenditures in 1981 II
from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund for Salt and Energy jl
Costs,"and to convey the resolution, once approved,
to the Department of Transportation: State of Illinois.
The afore-mentioned resolution is necessary in order to keep our records
current with the State of Illinois, Motor Fuel Tax Division.•
For fiscal:year 1981 we have budgeted the following from the Motor Fuel
Tax Fuxida I.
Salt: $30,000
Energy: $25,000
For .purposes of the State Resolution, I have increased :the budgeted figures it
by 10X, as a.precaution. In the event that we do not spend the amount.
authorised, the State will make an adjustment then their 1981 audit is
Performed.
In addition to the Salt and Energy costs budgeted for 1981/82 we also j,
budgeted $71,000 for the .Swift Drive slurry seal project. In discussing
this project With IDOT representatives, they suggested.'that we wait on
preparing a resolution for this project until. the pleas and specifications
as prepared by Engineer`.Durfey are approved by the State, and the contract
is awarded by the Board of Trustees.

I. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
° The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by
President Cerne in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room of the Village Commons. President
Cerne stated that Trustees Walter C. Imrie, Robert E. Listecki, William R. Watson, Jr.,
and Joseph H. Rush, having been duly elected in the Consolidated General Election,
April 7, 1981, were administered the Oath of Office prior to the Committee-of-the-
Whole Meeting of May 11, 1981 by Clerk Lakosil.

Reynolds for her service to the Village as a Member of the Plan Commission from
May 1975 to 1977, and as am elected Trustee from May 1977 to 1981.

B. RESOLUTION NO. R-303: RESOLUTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS BY
MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE
Proposed resolution appropriates the sum of $60,500 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds for
maintaining streets and highways from January 1, 1981 to December 31, 1981.
