MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OAK BROOK FIREFIGHTERS’ PENSION FUND
JULY 25, 2014
A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Oak Brook Firefighters’ Pension fund was held on
Friday, July 25, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Butler Government Center, in the Samuel E. Dean Board Room
located at 1200 Oak Brook Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523, pursuant to notice of the disability hearing for Lt.
Mark Schoppe.
CALL TO ORDER BY PRESIDING OFFICER
President Michael Erickson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL
Upon roll call the following answered:
Present: President Michael Erickson, Secretary John Fagan, Trustee George Kouba, Trustee
Timothy Schlindwein and Trustee Mark Fleishman
Absent: None

PUBLIC COMMENT – No public comment was made.
A motion was made by Trustee Erickson and seconded by Trustee Schlindwein to appoint Richard
Reimer as Hearing Officer. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. (See transcript)
A motion was made by Trustee Erickson and seconded by Trustee Schlindwein to commence and
continue the hearing on 09/02/2014 2 at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of deliberation with no new evidence,
regarding the disability hearing for Lt. Mark Schoppe. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. (See

The Board noted that the Jennifer White hearing will be scheduled for 09/02/2014 at 1:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by President Erickson and seconded by Trustee Fagan to adjourn the meeting at 4:35
p.m. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
