Background/History: The attached ordinance authorizes the sale of laptops, switches, and projectors from the various departments that have reached the end of their useful life or have been replaced with newer models. The Village will first register these items with iBid, an online auctioneer run by the State of Illinois. If no bids are received through the online auction, staff will donate to a non-for profit organization. Hard drives and operating systems on the laptops that the Village will either sell or donate will be removed and disposed of separately.
