The County will put on the ballot this Fall an -85 million dollar bond issue, providing for: a. Engineering and construction expenses from the connection with Chicago to the reservoir in DuPage County. b. Engineering and construction for the pipeline between the City of Chicago and the DuPage reservoir. . c. I individuals in unincorporated areas; and WHEREAS, it has heretofore been and hereby is deemed ,I advisable, necessary and in the best interests of The County that there be constructed a project (hereinafter "Project") to wit: new distribution systems for the delivery of Lake Michigan water x and other waters originating inside and outside of DuPage County I' into the distribution systems of incorporated cities and villages and corporations and individuals in unincorporated areas within The County to include, but not Iimitied to a pipeline and necessary ff>. , 333 appurtenances from a point within Chicago, County of Cook, Illinois , ' to a reservoir within the boundary of OuPage County and for other ! systems to bring such waters to the residents of DuPage County; and WHEREAS, the Project is to be constructed pursuant to agreements to be entered into by and between The County, the DuPage Mater Commission, OuPage County, Illinois, and certain municipalities located within and without The County; and WHEREAS , the Board has made an estimate of the portion of the cost of construction of the Project which The County will pay 'I and does hereby determine that the cost of the same will be not more than $85,000,000; and WHEREAS, The County has no funds on hand to pay such cost and therefore it will be necessary to borrow money and in evidence thereof issue bonds of The County in the amount of $85,000,000 (the "Bonds" ) ; and WHEREAS, before the Bonds may be issued for said purpose, the question of issuing the Bonds must be submitted to the legal voters of The County at an election held and conducted in accord- ance with the general election law of the State of Illinois (the 1 "general election law" ) , and there must also be submitted the I, question of levying an additional annual tax for the purpose of paying the principal and interest on the Bonds as the same mature: NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved by the County Board of The County of DuPage, Illinois, as follows : Section 1 .
