RESOLUTION REGARDING VARTICI PAT ING

(1000 HOURS STANDARD FOR M1 F (PARTIC PATION)
WHEREAS, Section 7-137 of the Illinois Pension Code,
as amended pursuant to Public Act 82-459, provides that a municipality
may elect to exclude from participation in the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund persons in positions normally requiring performance
of duty for less than 1000 hours per year; and
WHEREAS, the exclusion by law may only be applicable to
persons first employed- in positions under the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund by any employer in they said Fund after the adoption
of a resolution establishing such exclusions; and
WHEREAS,, the President and Board of Trustees, Of the Village
of Oak Brook deem the adopiton of a resolution making such an election
to be in the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, Bd IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD ..
OF TRUSTEES OF ;THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, that pursumnt,to the provisions of Section 7-137 of the
Illinois Pension Code, as amended pursuant to Public Act 82-459, that
the Village of Oak Brook does hereby elect to exclude from participation
in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund all officials and employees in 1
positions formally requiring performance of duty for less than 1000 hours
per. year. ..
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this exclusion shall apply only jj

to officials and employees who first occupy offices or positions under i
the said Fund after the effective date of this Resolution. I
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full 1
force and effect as of January 1, 1982. 1
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Clerk it baby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of.tins .Resolution
with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
