WHEREAS, GEORGE CONGREVE, has served the Village of Oak Brook
successively as a member of the .Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of
Trustees; and
WHEREAS, collectively, GEORGE CONGREVE, has dedicated fifteen
(15) years of service to, for, and on behalf of the Village and its
residents; and
WHEREAS, GEORGE CONGREVE, has given unselfishly of his time and
effort to uphold adherence to the high standards of this community;
and
WHEREAS, through his untiring efforts in behalf of the Village of
Oak Brook he has greatly contributed to the progress and continued
well being of said Village and its citizens by accomplishing, among
others, the following: Application of the Merit Plan; Development of
the Village of Oak Brook Personnel Rules and Regulations; improved
levels of service in the Public Works area; and has been instrumental
in the development of the Comprehensive Water Study and the development
of the construction phase of the current water improvements, along
with his active role to implement the supply of Lake Michigan water in
DuPage County as the Village of Oak Brook Representative and Vice-
Chairman of the DuPage Water Commission; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opinion
that a record of such faithful service should be made and spread upon
the records of the said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook that the said GEORGE CONGREVE be
and he hereby is commended for his faithful service to the Village of
Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President and Board of Trustees
of the said Village of Oak Brook, for and on behalf of said Village
and its citizens, du hereby extend their thanks and gratitude to the
said GEORGE CONGREVE for his services aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of these resolutions be
delivered to the said GEORGE CONGREVE by the Clerk of the Village of
Oak Brook and that these resolutions be spread upon the records of
•
said Village.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oak Brook, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois this
10th Day of May , 1983.
