LV( v O President and Board of Trustees Village of Oak Brook OCT 2 B 1986 1200 Oak Brook Road Oak Brook, IL 60521 VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, IL, RE: 3504 York Road ADMINISTRATION Dear President and Board of Trustees: In applying for a Building permit for a two-story addition to the rear of our residence we were advised that an assessment plat would be required as this list was not recorded as part of a subdivision. We have recently moved in with our mother, Mrs. Sylvia Koubek and find that additional living area is needed to serve our family. We did not anticipate that an assessment plat would be required, and were quite surprised to learn that we did not have a lot that could be built upon. We have acted as quickly as possible, and as of this date have filed the necessary documents. However, the earliest we can have the assessment plat addressed by the Board, is the next.meeting of 11/11/86. This would be a:severe hardship for us, since we never anticipated this additional procedure of an assessment plat. The concrete contractor can start the work this week, and after that time he will be committed elsewhere for at least three (3) weeks. This will be putting us into a time when the weather is not always favorable. Since the property has been in the family name for 44 years, and there are no variations that are necessary for this addition, we are requesting that you allow the building department to issue the permit before the assessment plat is recorded. By filing the assessment plat, we have given a easement for the pedestrian/bicycle path. Please help us us with this dilemma. arles & Yvette Koubek 504 York Road 323-3383 II
