SUBJECT: 19 MFT Resolution
RECOMENDATION: That the President and Board of Trustees adopt the
attached resolution in the amount of $1B3,e7O in Motor
Fuel Tax Funds to be used as budgeted° in 1980.

The l/es budget anticipates the use of MFT funds to defray the cost i.
deicer salt, energy costs for street lights and traffic signals and i�
also this User, *1.00,000 will be used for curb, gutter and pavement
repair in Brook forest.
The 1980/85 budget includes $05,700 for deicer salt and 950,000 far i
en gory, costs. For the purpose of this resolution these casts have been
,nareesed by 10* which eau eliminate the need to pass a supplemental
raesojution in case of a budget over run. !

Proposed Resolution allows for expenditure of $183,270 in Motor Fuel
Tax Funds to be used as budgeted is 1988 to defray cost of deicer salt
(28,270), energy coats for street lights sad traffic signals ($55,000)
and for curb, gutter and pavement repair in Brook Forest ($100,000).

Resubdivision, Document Number 187-156766, by 1) increasing the
southerly front yard setback fres 50 feet to 60 feet; 2) eliminating
the 100-foot building line adjacent to louts 83 and establishing a 60-
foot side yard in replacement thereof; and 3) placing a 60-foot side
yard setback adjacent to Monterey Avenue.

March 8, 1988 considered two resolutions as it relates to maintenance
of streets and highways under the Illinois Municipal Coda.

The resolution adapted by the President and Board of Trustees
on March 8, 1988 appropriating $183,270.00 of motor fuel tax I!
funds for the maintenance of various municipal streets from
January 1, 1988, to December 31, 1988, was approved by this
Department today.
The estimate of maintenance cost in the amount of $183,270.00
for municipal streets was also approved today and your file
copy is being returned herewith.

Expenditure of $83,270.00 from your unobligated motor fuel tax
account is hereby authorized and will be recorded on your next
monthly Allotment Notification Letter.
It is noted that the pavement and curb and gutter repair is
estimated to cost in excess of $5,000.00. This must be
accomplished by competitive bidding. The contract proposals
must be submitted to this office for approval prior to
advertising for bids.
