CERTAIN BODIES FROM THURSTON CEMETERY

WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook prior to the adoption of this
Ordinance on September 11, 1962, enacted an Ordinance ordering the removal
of the bodies from said Cemetery in accordance with a CONTRACT OF SALE FROM
GEORGE BUNGE, THEODORE TRUSKE, AND DAVID AUBLE, SUCCESSOR TRUSTEES OF THURSTON
CEMETERY UNDER THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF DAVID THURSTON, DECEASED, TO BUTLER
COMPANY, dated September 5, 1962; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance and contract, certain bodies will
be removed from Thurston Cemetery by virtue of applications made for such
removal by heirs, relatives and next of kin of persons buried there; and
WHEREAS, there are a number of persons buried in said Cemetery whose
heirs, relatives or next of kin cannot be found; and
WHEREAS, in order to fully effectuate the CONTRACT OF SALE FROM GEORGE
BUNGE, THEODORE TRUSKE, AND DAVID RUBLE, SUCCESSOR TRUSTEES OF THURSTON
CEMETERY UNDER THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF DAVID THURSTON, DECEASED, TO BUTLER
COMPANY, dated September 5, 1962, it will be necessary for the Village of Oak
Brook to make application for the removal of certain bodies from Thurston Cemetery;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, that:
SECTION 1: The President and/or Village Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to make application for the removal of all bodies in Thurston
Cemetery where no heirs, relatives or next of kin can be found.
SECTION 2: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval, as provided by law.
