AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION SCE ALS-
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF S-04$#e S•Sv

WHEREAS, it appears to the President and Board of Trustees of the
Phoebe H.Dutcher ,Recorder.
Village of Oak Brook, a municipal corporation, that heretofore, to-wit: on the
24th day of May, A. D. 1961, there was filed in the County Court of DuPage
County, Illinois, a verified petition requesting that the hereinafter described
territory be annexed to the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said petition was signed by a majority of
the owners of record of land in the within described territory by the owners of
record of more than fifty per cent (5011) of the land in said territory, and by a
majority of the electors residing in said territory; and
WHE_1EAS, it appears that the said territory is not within the corporate
limits of any other municipality and is contiguous to the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois, and that the said petition requested that the said territlory be annexed to
the Village of Oak Brook, and in all respects conformed to the provisions and
requirements of Article 7, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 1957 Edition,
and was valid; and
WHEREAS, it further appears that after the filing of the said petition as
aforesaid, and pursuant to the order of the County Judge of DuPage County, due
notice having been given as by statute required, a hearing was had thereon and such
other proceedings were had as is provided by law and that on the 19th day of Yu.ne,
1961, an order was entered of record in the County Court of DuPage County, Illinois
fixing the location and boundaries of said territory as described in said petition
and ordering that the question of annexation of the said territory as hereinafter
described, to the Village of Oakbrook be submitted to the corporate authorities
of the Village of OakBrook for final action thereon; and
WHEREAS, it further appears that a certified copy of said order was sent
to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oa'-, Brook, Illinois and is presently on file
with said Village Clerk:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois:
SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows, to-wit:
Lots 1 to 57 (except from said Lot 1 that part thereof falling
in Toll Road Parcel T-6@-130; except from said Lot 8 that
part thereof falling in Toll Road Parcel T-6A-171; except
from said Lot 9 that part thereof falling in Toll Road Parcel
T-6A-173; except from said Lot 10 that part thereof falling
in Toll Road Parcel T-6A-170 and except from said Lot 37
that part thereof falling in Toll Road Parcel T-6A-172) in
Yorkshire Woods, a Subc ivision in Section 24, Township 39
North, Range 11, according to the plat thereof recorded
November 14, 1947 as Document 534056, and re-recorded
December 11, 1947 as Document 535991, in DuPage County,
Illinois;
That part of the North West Quarter of Section 24, Township 39
North, Range 11, described as beginning at the North East
corner of Lot 5 in Yorkshire Woods, a subdivision in said
Section 24, and re-recorded as Document 535991, *aid point
also being in the West line of Lot 1 in Jerome H. Pacl's Plat
of survey, recorded October 26, 1953, as document 699211;
thence North 0 degrees 30 minutes West along the West line of
Lot 1 in said Jerome H. Pacl's Plat of Survey, 174. 75 feet to the
North West corner thereof; thence South 89 degrees 00 minutes
East along the North line of Lots 1 and 2 in said Jerome H. Pacl's
Plat of Survey, 250 feet to the North East corner of said Lit 2,
said point being in the westerly right of way line of the Illinois
State Toll Highway; thence South 31 degrees 16 iitinutes West along
said right of way line 68. 85 feet, to an angle point in said right of
way line; thence South 31 degrees 16 minutes West along said right
of way line, 97. 95 feet to a point in the North line extended East
of Lots 5 and 6 in Yorkshire Woods; thence South 84 degrees
54 minutes West along the Nc tth line of said. Lots 5 and 6 extended
East 197 feet, to the place of beginning, in DuPage County, Illinois.
That part of the following described tract lying northerly and westerly
of relocated Harger Road (Illinois State Toll Highway Parcel T-6A-136. 2)
and lying Southerly of said relocated Harger Road and Westerly of the
West line of Illinois State Toll Highway Parcel T-6A-136.4; The East
half of the North West Q uarter of Section 24, Township 39 North, Range
11, lying Southerly of the Northerly line of Yorkshire Woods, a Sub-
division in said Section 24, extended Easterly to the East line of the
North West _Quarter of said Section 24 (except that part falling in said
Yorkshire Woods and except that part falling in Jerome H. Pacl's Plat
.of Survey, recorded October 26, 1953 as Document 699211) in DuPage
County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the said Village of
Oak Brook, a municipal corporation.

Section 2: That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate
map or plat of the territory herein described be recorded with the Recorder of
Deeds of DuPage County, Illinois and that a certified copy of this ordinance be
filed in the office of the County Clerk of DuPage County, Illinois.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in accordance with the law; and that all ordinances
or parts o:c ordinances conflicting with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
