Dutcher , Recorder WHEREAS, it appears to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation, that heretofore, to-wit: on the 20th day of March, A. D. 1961, there was filed in the County Court of DuPage County, Illinois, a verified petition requesting that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois; and WHEREAS, it appears that the said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of record of land in the within described territory by the owners of record of more than fifty per cent (50%) of the land in said territory, and by a majority of the electors residing in said territory; and WHEREAS, it appears that the said territory is not within the corporate limits of any other municipality and is contiguous to the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, and that the said petition requested that the said territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, and in all respects conformed to the provisions and requirements of Article 7, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 1957 Edition, and was valid; and WHEREAS, it further appears that after the filing of the said petition as aforesaid, and pursuant to the order of the County Judge of DuPage County, due notice having been given as by statute required, a hearing was had thereon and such other proceedings were had as is provided by law and that on the 17th day of April, 1961, an order was entered of record in the County Court of DuPage County, Illinois fixing the location and boundaries of said territory as described in said petition and ordering that the question of annexation of the said territory as hereinafter described, to the Village of Oakbrook be submitted to the corporate authorities of the Village of Oakbrook for final action thereon; and WHEREAS, it further appears that a certified copy of said order was sent to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois and is presently on file with said Village Clerk: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED Ity the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois: SECTION 1: That the territory described as follows, to-wit: Lots 1 to 44, inclusive in Woodside Estates, being a aubdivision in the west half of the northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 39 North, range 11 east of the 3rd Principal Meridian in DuPage County, Illinois; Lots 2 to 12, inclusive in York Woodlands, being a subdivision of that part of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 24, Township 39 North, range 11, defined: commencing at the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of Section 24, th no 89 1/2 a E 9. 91 chs; th S 1/4aE 28 rods 6 1/3 lks. th S 89 1/20 W9. 91 chs. th N 1/eW 28 rods 6 1/3 lks to F of Bin DuPage County, Illinois. Lots 1 to 4, inclusive in Fippinger's Subdivision, part of the Southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 39 North, Range 11 east of the third principal meridian in DuPage County, Illinois. That part of Lot 1 in Hoehne's asssmt Plat of part of the SW 1/4 Section 24-39-11 E & C Des as follows: comcg at the NE cor of the SW frl qr of sd Sec 24-tbng the NE cor of sd Lot 1); thence W alg the N line of the SW frl qr of sd Sec 24, (bng the N line of sd Lot 1) 252. 52 ft to a point in the SEly right-of-way line of F.. A. Route 131 as described in Doc. 897331; thence SWly alg the SEly row line of F. A. Route 131 a distance of 346. 80 ft more or less to the Nly line of Ill State Toll Hwy. parcel T-6A-132 as described in Doc 857785; thence SEly alg the Nly line of sd parcel, T-6A-132 & alg the Nly line of Ill T311 Hwy parcel T-6A-134 to the E line of said Lot 1 (bng SE cor of School lot); thence Nly alg E line of School lot and alg E line of sd Lot 1 (Also bng the E line of the SW 1/4 Sec 24) to the POB, in DuPage County, Illinois. be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the said Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation. Section 2: That a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate map or plat of the territory herein described be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of DuPage County, Illinois and that a certified copy of this ordinance be filed in the office of the County Clerk of DuPage County, Illinois .
