AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE CREATING
A FIRE DEPARTMENT IN AND FOR THE VILLAGE OF
OAKBROOK DU PAGE: COUNTY, ILLINOIS, DESIGNATING
THE PERSONNEL THEREFOR AND ESTABLISHING RULES
AND REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT T4 TIE E FIGHTING
OF FIRES AND PREVENTIO N THEREOF, AND DEFINING
THE DUTIES OF 'V'ARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE
DEP,ARTWENT, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF OAKBROOK ON THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER. 1967
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Oakbrook:
Section 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance creating a
fire department in and for the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage
County, Illinois, designating the personnel therefor and
establishing rules and regulations with respect to the fighting
of fires and prevention thereof, and defining the duties of
various members of the Fire Department, passed and approved by
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook
on the 12th day of September, 1967, be and the same is hereby
amended, and as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 1. Creation. There is hereby created
a fire department, an administrative department of
the Village of Oakbrook. This department shall consist
of afire chief appointed by the President, with the
approval of the Board of Trustees, who shall be the
head of the department, and six firemen appointed by
the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in accordance
with the statutes of the State of Illinois and the rules
and regulations of such Commission."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval as by statutes
in such cases made and provided,
