WHEREAS, it appears to the P-resident and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation,
that heretofore on to-wit: The 18th day of November, 1966,
there was filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, County
Division, DuPage County, Illinois a -verified petition request-
ing that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to the
Village of Oakbrook, Illinois ; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said petition was signed
by a majority of the owners of record of land of the within
described territory, by the owners of record of more than fifty
percent of the land in said territory, and by a majority cE the
electors residing in said territory; and
WHEREASI it appears that the said territory is not
within the corporate limits of any other municipality and is
contiguous to the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, and in all
respects conformed to the provisions and requirements of the
Statutes of the State of Illinois in such cases made and provided ;
and
WHEREAS, it further appears that after the filing of
the said petition aforesaid, and pursuant to the order of the
Circuit Court, due notice having been given as by statute re-
quired, a hearing was had thereon and such other proceedings
were had as is provided by law and that on the 10th day of March,
1966, an order was entered of record in the Circuit Court of
DuPage County, Illinois, fixing the 7'.oeation and boundaries of
said territory as described in said petition and ordering that
the question of annexation of the said territory, as hereinafter
described, to the Village of Oakbrook be submitted to the corporate
authorities of the Village of Oakbrook for final action thereon;
and
WHEREAS, all remedies by way of appeal from said order
have been exhausted and said order has been confirmed by the
Appellate Court of Illinois, Second District., and said order has
therefore become final; and
WHEREAS, it further appears that a certified. copy of said
order was sent to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook,
Illinois, and is presently on file with said Village Clerk;
N%7ds THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois:
Section 1, That the territory described as follows,
to-wit:
The Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the
North 500 feet of the East 62.4.5 feet of the Southwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 2, Township
38 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in DuPage County, Illinois, also all of Adams Street , lying
east of and adjacent to the above described property.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the Village
of Oakbrook, an Illinois municipal corporation,
Section 2. That the Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook is
hereby authorized and directed to file in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court,, County Division,, DuPage: County, Illinois,, a
certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 3., This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage anti approval in accordance with
law; and all ordinances or parts of ordinances conflicting with
the provisions hereof are hereby repealed.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees
