V4Pt4rioN (Hei,tl%T) C 144to4 OAK 690014 ORDINANCE NO. q AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE OAKBROOK ZONING ORDINANCE Whereas, the owner of the property more particularly hereinafter described has petitioned the corporate authorities of the Village of Oakbrook for a variation to the rules and regulations of "The Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, of 1966" , as amended, with respect to structure height in an "R-2" Single-Family Detached Residence District; and, Whereas , a public hearing, pursuant to said request, has been held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Oakbrook; and, Whereas, the said Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the variation be granted; and, Whereas , the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook concur with said recommendation and are of the opinion that a variation should be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois : Section 1. That the applicable rules and regulations of "The Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois , of 1966" , as amended, contained in Section VII , D, 6 (b) , limiting structure height for institutional and other non-residential use to not more than forty-five (45) feet, is hereby varied to permit construction of a church sanctuary and steeple to be erected to a height of seventy (70) feet and eighty-eight (88) feet respectively on real estate described as follows : Salt Creek Highland, a Subdivision situated in the Northwest Quarter of Section 26 , Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, ac- cording to the plat of said subdivision recorded October 1, 1955, as document No. 775368, in DuPage County, Illinois, the general location of the property being the southwest corner of Oak Brook Road (31st Street) and York Road. Section 2 . That this Ordinance shall be in full force and ef- fect from and after its passage and approval as by statute in such cases made and provided.
