ORDINANCE NO. S'-ZS� 14
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A CONTRACT
PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
JORIE BOULEVARD WITHIN THE VILLAGE
OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
Whereas , the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak
Brook and the Oak Brook Development Company , as owners of the
underlying realty, have deemed it in the best interest of all
concerned that provision be made for the extension and instal -
lation of Jorie Boulevard between 22nd Street and Oak Brook
Road (31st Street) , and
Whereas the portion lying southerly of Corporate Plaza
Unit Two Subdivision and northerly of Village Green Subdivision
has not been platted , nor dedicated for roadway purposes , and
Whereas , the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Oak
Brook has the authority to require and construct said improve-
ments , and
Whereas , the Oak Brook Development Company in their letter
of July 14th , 1972 to the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oak Brook has offered to participate in the cost
and expense of the improvements within Jorie Boulevard , and
Whereas , said offer requires acceptance by adoption by the
Village of an ordinance accepting the offer and obligating the
Village of Oak Brook to certain requirements , and
Whereas , upon acceptance of said offer the Oak Brook De-
velopment Company will be obligated to perform the conditions
set forth in its offer ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook as follows :
Section 1 . The offer of the Oak Brook Development Company
to voluntarily participate in the construction of Jorie Boulevard
between the southerly boundary of Corporate Plaza Unit Two Sub-
division to the northerly boundary of Village Green Subdivision
in the manner herein listed is hereby accepted .
Section 2 . The terms for the Oak Brook Development Company ' s
participation include :
A. Dedicate for public roadway purposes a right-
of-way 100 feet wide as a continuation South-
ward from the terminus of the right-of-way of
Jorie Blvd . at the Southerly line of the Cor-
porate Plaza Unit Two Subdivision to connect
with the terminus of the right-of-way of Jorie
Blvd . at the Northerly line of Village Green
Subdivision .
B . Pay to and promptly reimburse the Village of
Oak Brook the sum of $300 ,000 . 00 in install -
ments from time to time equal to those expendi -
tures made by the Village of Oak Brook in pay-
ment for charges arising from the construction
of a paved roadway , bridge and other improve-
ments which the Village shall cause to be
installed within the right-of-way to be dedi -
cated by Oak Brook Development Company pursuant
to Section 2 , A, of their ordinance.

C. Oak Brook Development Company ' s construction ,
at the expense of a paved roadway and other
improvements required by ordinances of the
Village of Oak Brook , within the Jorie Blvd .
right-of-way as shown on the plat of Corporate
Plaza Subdivision Unit One , the plat of Cor-
porate Plaza Subdivision Unit Two and the plat
of Village Green Subdivision . The completion
of construction by Oak Brook Development Company
of this paved roadway and other improvements
shall be scheduled and accomplished within a
period of time no greater than that period of
time within which the completion of construc-
tion by the Village of Oak Brook of the paved
roadway, bridge and other improvements in the
Jorie Blvd . right-of-way Southward from the
South line of the Corporate Plaza Unit Two
Subdivision to the North line of Village Green
Subdivision in schedule and accomplished .
Section 3 . In reliance of the offer of the Oak Brook Devel -
opment Company , the Village of Oak Brook hereby agrees to engineer
and complete the paved roadway, bridge and other improvements with-
in Jorie Boulevard between Corporate Plaza Unit Two Subdivision and
Village Green Subdivision in accordance with the standards estab-
lished by the ordinances of the Village of Oak Brook.
PASSED and APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Villaqe of ak Brook, DuPage County , Illinois , this .?J-jr ,
