V- 373 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE OFFICIAL RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, HELD ON APRIL 19, 1977. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, that: SECTION 1: A regular election of officers of the Village of Oak Brook was held on April 19, 1977. SECTION 2: The aforesaid election was for the purpose of electing three (3) Village Trustees for four (4)-year terms; and one (1) Village Trustee to complete the unexpired two (2) years of a four (4)-year term. SECTION 3: The returns of the aforesaid election have been duly made to the Village Clerk and canvassed in an open meeting by the President and Board of Trustees. SECTION 4: The total number of votes cast at said election, as shown by the poll lists, was 518. SECTION 5: For the office of Village Trustee for a four (4)-year term, the votes cast were as follows: Precinct No. Frederick W. Brown Barbara F. Scott Others 1 383 99 Fred Hayes 1 Paul Francis 1 Total 383 99 2 a SECTION 7: The President and Board of Trustees find from their canvass of the returns of said election that the following total number of votes was cast in the one (1) precinct, and that there were the following number of blank, spoiled, or defective ballots in such precinct: Precinct No. Total Number of Votes Cast Blank, Spoiled, or Defective Ballots 1 518 4 Total 518 4 SECTION 8: It is hereby found and declared by the President and Board of Trustees, after canvassing the returns of the aforesaid election as required by law, that the following persons are the successful candidates for their respective offices: Village Trustee, four-year term: Frederick W. Brown Barbara F. Reynolds Wence F. Cerne Village Trustee, two-year term: Joseph H. Rush SECTION 9: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by Statute in such case made and provided. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form. SECTION 10: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such determination shall not affect the validity of any remaining portion of this Ordinance. 1977.
