ORDINIIICE A)DnMINd CERTAIN TERRITORY
TD THE VIIJ.AOE OF OAKBROOK,
DU PA4E COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHUYAS., there has been duly filed with the Clerk of the Village
of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois, a petition, under oath, asking that
the following described territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook:
Parcel One
The Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 39
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Da Page County, Illinois,
- and
Parcel Two
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23,
Township 39 Noarth, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the South-
west corner of said quarter section; thence East on the
quarter section line Ito chains to the center of the
section; thence North on uarter section line 2.75
chains; thence South 84-1/2 degrees west 40 chains,
more or less, to the place of beginning in Du Page
County, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of record of
all of the real estate described therein, and states that there are no
1 electors residing on the said territory; and
*HERELS, the said territory is contiguous to the Village of
Oakbrook and is not within the corporate limits of any municipality;
and
WHERZAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois provide that
upon the filing of such petition the corporate authorities of the
Village of Oakbrook may pass an ordinance annexing said territory to
said village if said ordinance is passed by a two-thirds vote of said
corporate authorities;
THE XF'OR'E, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
( of the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois:

The Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 39
North, Range 11j, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Du Page County, Illinois,
and
Parcel Two
That part of the IIsrthwrest Quarter of Section 23,
Township 39 Worth, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Weridian, described as follows: Beginning at the South-
west corner of said quarter section; thence East on the
quarter section line 40 chains to the center of the
section; thence North on carter section line 2.75
chains; thence South ZIr 2 degrees best 40 chains,
more or less, to the place of beginning in Du Page
County, Illinois;
Section 2s That a certified copy of this ordinance, together
with an accurate map of the described territory, shall be filed by the
Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook with the Recorder of Du Page
County, Illinois.
