TO THE VILLAGE OF OAKBRO0K,

SEAS, there has been duly filed with the Clerk of the Village
of Oakbrook, Du Page County, Illinois, a petition, under oath, asking that
the following described territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook:
The nertheast quarter of section 26, Township 39 North, Range ll,
Esst of the Third Principal Meridian, and that part of the east
half of section 239 Township 39 North, Ran go 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as followas Commencing at
the otter of said Section 23, for a place of beginning; thence
southerly along the west line of the southeast quarter of
ftetion 23 to the southwest corer of said quarter section;
thence easterly along the section line, to the southeast corner
of Section 23; thence Northerly along the east line of said
quarter section 23, to a point on the centerline of Harger
Read, as now platted and recorded; thence westerly along the
centerline of Harger Road, as now platted and recorded, a
distance of 639.9' to a break in the centerline; thence con-
tinuing along said centerline, in a southwesterly direction,
a distance of 179.84+;thence s.0017t east a distance of 551.121;
thence Be 89%31 wont a distance of 497.281; thence N. O0171 west,
to spoint on the centerline of Salt Crook, said point also being
the southeasterly corner of Lot 10, in Timber Trails Estates
Ann=; situated in the "at half of Section 23, Township 39
north, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; thence
westerly along a m madering line, said_li.ne.also being the
southwesterly line of said Timber Trails Estates Annex, to
a point where said line intersects the west line of the north-
.. east quarter of Section 23; thence southerly along the most line
of said northeast quarter of Section 23, to the place of beginning,
all in Du Page County, Illinois,
and
SAS, said petition is signed by the owners of record of all
of the real estate described therein, and all of the electors residing
on said territory; and
MIEREAS, the said territory is contiguous to the Village of
Oakbrook and is not d thin the corporate limits of any municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois provide that upon
the filing of such petition the corporate authorities of the Village of
Oakbrook may pass an ordinance annexing said territory to said village
if said ordinance is passed by a two-thirds rote of said corporate
authorities;
