WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is completely i
surrounded by the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois ;
and
WHEREAS, the said territory contains less than sixty
acres; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing on said territory;
and
WHEREAS, Section 7-11 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois
?� Revised Statutes, 1959 Edition, provides that such territory
may be annexed by the corporate authorities by ordinance; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire and intent of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Oakbrook to annex said territory
i
to the Village of Oakbrook;
NOW$ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and

Board of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County,

Illinois :
Section 1 : That the following described territory be
and the same is hereby annexed to the said Village of Oakbrook,
DuPage County, Illinois, to-wit : i
CThat part of the West half of the South West quarter of
Section 24, Township 39 north, Range 11 , East of the
Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at a point being North 42 degrees East from
the South West corner of Section 24, 12 chains distant_
0 and running thence North 42 degrees East 9.56 chains to
a stake; thence South 85 and three fourths degrees East
2.62 chains ; thence South 2 and one half degrees West
4.67 chains thence South 52 degrees West 7.71 chains

along Creek; thence North 48 degrees West 3.75 chains
to the place of beginning, in Dufag:; County, Illinois.
ALSO
That part of the South West :quarter of Section 24,
Township 39 North, Range 11 , East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows : Commencing at the most 1
North Easterly corner of the property of York Cemetery
Association; thence, West along the North line of said
cemetery property 137 . 3 feet to the place of beginning;

thence continuing West along said line aforesaid, 33
feet, more or less , to Westerly line of the Cemetery
Road; thence North 16 degrees West 997 . 26 feet to the
center line of Barger Road; thence East along said
center line to Easterly line of aforesaid cemetery
road; thence South Easterly along Easterly line of said
cemetery Road, said line running South 15 degrees 29
minutes East a distance of 989. 1 feet to the place of
beginning, in DuPage County, Illinois.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this ordinance,
together With an accurate map or plat of the described territory,
shall be filed by the Village of Oakbrook with the Recorder of
Deeds of DuPage County, Illinois.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees
of the. Village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois, this 27th day
of June, A. D. 1961.
