RESOLUTION
WHEREASI the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oakbrook) Du Page County2 Illinois, deem it advisable to provide
for a building code to regulate the construction of residential.,
commercial, industrial and all other types of buildings; and
WHEREAS, in the adoption of a building code all or certain
portions of the following publications will be adopted by reference.,
to—wit: National Building Code, 1955 Edition., recommended by the
National Board of Fire Underwriters, and Suburban Building Regulations
for Residences, April 1957 Edition, both of which said publications
have been previously published in pamphlet form; and
MMREAS, the Statutes of the State of Illinois provide that
in such cases the said publications may be adopted by reference provided
at least three copies have been on file at the office cf the Village
Clerk at least thirty (30) days prior to their adoption by reference;
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Oakbrook,, Du Page County., Illinois, that
three copies of the said National Building Code, 1955 Edit on, and the
said Suburban Building Regulations for Residences, April 1957 Edition,
be placed on file at the office of the Village Clerk in the general
office building of the Oakbrook Division of the Butler Company, Oakbrook,
Illinois, to remain on file for thirty (3C) ) days so that same ma7 be
adopted by reference by the said President and Board of Trustees.
Passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Oakbrook, Du Page County., Illinois, this day of
