RECOMMENDED MOTION: Motion To Approve RESOLUTION 2015-IMRF-R-1462,
A Resolution Amending R-621 And Appointing The Authorized Agent Representing The
Village of Oak Brook,Illinois In The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund
Background/History:
The Village of Oak Brook is a member and contributes to the Illinois Municipal Retirement
Fund (IMRF). The Village is required to name an Authorized Agent who will handle the day-
to-day IMRF issues and processes, such as enrollment,payroll reporting, benefit applications
and various member inquiries. Presently, Sharon Dangles,the Assistant Village
Manger/Finance Director fills this role. We will be transitioning to have Kate Andris, our
Human Resources Generalist,become the Authorized Agent. Kate has completed the
Authorized Agent Certification on April 23 Id and has been dealing with all these human
resource issues for the past year.
Recommendation:
I recommend the Board approve the attached resolution.

RESOLUTION 2015-IMRF-R-1462
A RESOLUTION AMENDING R-621 AND APPOINTING THE AUTHORIZED
AGENT REPRESENTING THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS
IN THE ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook, pursuant to Ordinance S-192, passed December 9, 1969,
first elected to participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF); and
WHEREAS, Chapter 40 ILCS 5 (Pension Code) of the Illinois Compiled Statutes requires each
participating municipality in the IMRF to appoint an authorized agent; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 94-IMRF-R-621, passed and approved on April 12, 1994, designated that
the Village Treasurer serve as the authorized agent to the IMRF.
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Oak Brook find that it now is in the Village's
best interest that the Human Resources Generalist serve as the authorized agent to the IMRF, with the
Village Treasurer serving as an Alternate authorized agent to the IMRF.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1: The person serving as the Human Resources Generalist is hereby designated to be
the authorized agent representing the Village of Oak Brook in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, and
the Village Treasurer is hereby designated to be the Alternate authorized agent.
Section 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be filed with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in
evidence of the action authorized herein.

INSTRUCTIONS
• The governing body of an IMRF employer(including townships)can appoint any qualified party as the employer's IMRF
Authorized Agent.
• The governing body makes the appointment by adopting a resolution.
• The clerk or secretary of the governing body must certify the appointment(see Certification below).
• Mail the completed form to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
• A copy of the completed form should be retained by the employer.
• The new Authorized Agent will need to register for a new User ID on IMRF Employer Access.
