WHEREAS, on December 16, 1986, the Village President and Board of
Trustees approved Fair Labor Standards Act Policies for the Village of Oak
Brook; and
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees deem the amendment
of said policies to be appropriate so as to amend Vpendix A thereto regarding
personnel exempt from overtime pay requirements of the Fair Labor Standards
Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Appendix A of the Fair Labor
Standards Act Policies of the Village of Oak Brook be and is hereby amended to
read as follows:

c) Administrative Assistant
d) Village Attorney
e) Village Engineer
f) Finance Officer
g) Assistant Finance officer
h) Librarian
i) Police Chief and Police Lieutenants
j) Fare Chief

MEMO TO: Village President and Board of Trustees
FROM: Stephen Berley, Village Manager
RE: Modifications to Village's Fair Labor Standards Act Policy
RECOMMENDATION: That the Village Classify the following Full-Time Positions
as Exempt with Reset to F.L.S.A. Standards: 1) Administrative
Assistant; 2) Assistant Finance Officer; 3) Golf Manager/Greens
Superintendent; 4) Golf Pro (as reclassified); 5) B $c T
Clubhouse Manager, and: 6) B & T Chef
The Village Board at its meeting of December 16, 1986 approved a listing of policies
for the Village of Oak Brook in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act
including listing specific Village personnel which were,determined to be exempt
with respect to F.L.S.A. standards. Since there have been recent personnel changes
including reclassifications as well as the creation of new positions, it is appropriate
for the Village Board to include the ,above-listed personnel as exempt according
to the Federal Fair'Labor Standards Act. Therefore, I recommend, based upon
a review of their duties, that the Board approve the above personnel as being
exempt under F..L.S.A.

H. RESOLUTION NO. R-452 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FAIR
LABOR STANDARDS ACT POLICIES FOR THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK:
At the Regular Meeting of December 16, 1986, an approved list of
policies was approved in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act
(FLSA). Recent personnel changes make it appropriate to include the
following personnel as exempt according to FLSA.

PAY PLAN FOR 1988:
Proposed resolution reclassifies the position of Sports Core Manager
from Grade 11 to Grade 12 and provides standards for compensation for
employees working out of classification.
