A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
FOR PERMIT FOR GINGER CREEK
ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, The Village of Oak Brook has budgeted funds within the Fiscal
Year 1990/1991 Budget for roadway improvements within the Ginger Creek Subdivision;
and
WHEREAS, a permit is required from the Illinois Department of Transportation, `
Division of Water Resources to do any work in a floodway in any of the public bodies
of water within the State of Illinois;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DUPAGE AND COOD COUNTIES, ILLINOIS:
Section 1: That the President be and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute a Joint Application Form For Permit to the State of Illinois, Department of
Transportation, Division of Water Resouces, the Corps of Engineers, and the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency, a copy of which application is attached hereto
lebelled Exhibit "A" and hereby made a part hereof.

and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois.

SUBJECT: Ginger Creek Roadway Improvements
Joint Application for Permit Within Floodway
RECOMMENDATION: That the President and Village Board approve the attached resolution
and authorize the Village President to execute the Joint Application
Form.
Attached please find a proposed resolution authorizing the Village President to
execute a Joint Application Form for our proposed Ginger Creek Roadway Improvement
Project. This application is necessary since some of the roadway widening and
resurfacing work falls within the floodway of Ginger Creek. Dale has been in
contact with the Illinois Department of Transportation who has informed us that a
permit is required for this work within the Ginger Creek floodway.
Once the resolution and application for permit are executed, Dale will forward all
necessary documents to the Illinois Department of Transportation, Corps of Engineers,
and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for their review and approval. We are
hopeful that these approvals can be given expeditiously so as to not delay the
construction of the project. '
