RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION AND RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, DANIEL L. GOODWIN is Chairman and CEO of The Inland Real Estate Group of
Companies, Inc., which is headquartered on a 28-acre campus in Oak Brook, Illinois.; and
WHEREAS, he is recognized for building a multi-billion dollar business that is one of the
nation's leading and largest finance and real estate groups, and has chosen to keep that enterprise
headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois to benefit the community; and
WHEREAS, DANIEL L. GOODWIN is acknowledged for his selfless and significant expertise as
an employer of thousands of local people over 30 years in the community, thus supporting the local tax
base and driving the local economy by providing jobs to area residents; and
WHEREAS, as a life-long conservationist and steward of open spaces, he shares this vision
with the Village's elected officials to achieve a balance of development and green space; and
WHEREAS, DANIEL L. GOODWIN, through Inland Real Estate Group, has continuously
supported the Oak Brook Police Department with their annual generous donation to the DARE
Program; and
WHEREAS, Inland Real Estate Group also donates annually to the Oak Brook Fire Department
which provides for public education materials and equipment and other items which are beneficial to
their daily operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook that DANIEL L. GOODWIN is hereby commended for his generosity, business and civic
contributions to the Village of Oak Brook and the citizens thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, for and on behalf of the Village and its citizens, do hereby extend their appreciation and
gratitude to DANIEL L. GOODWIN for his extraordinary support as aforedescribed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a duly certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to
DANIEL L. GOODWIN and that this Resolution be spread upon the official permanent records of said
Village.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak
Brook, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois, this 91th day of June, 2015.
