WHERBAS, there has been filed with the Clerk of the Village
of Oakbrook, L`+ep,,: a County, Illinois, a petition under oath request-
ing that the bmr4jmafter described territory be annexed to tke Village
of Oakbrook; axed
idH1;MS, said petition is signed by the owners of record of
all of the real estate described therein except roads end highwesys,
if any; aced
WNSRW, the petition is signed by all of the electors, if
any, residing on said territory; and
WHEREAS, the said territory is contiguous to the [tillage of
Oakbrook and is not within the corporate limits of any other munici-
pality; and
WHEREAS* the Statutes of the State of Illinois pxovide that
upon the filing of such petition, the corporate authorities of the
Village of Oakbrook way pass an ordinance annexing said territory to
said village it said ordinance is passed by two-thirds$ vote of the
corporate authorities;
