-WHEI(EAS, it appears to the President and Board of Trustees of
j the Village of Oakbrook, a municipal corporation, that heretofore
on to-wit= the 9th day of February, A. D. 1962, there was .filed in
I
the County Court of Dupage County, Illinois, a verified petition
requesting that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to
the Village of Oakbrook, :Illinois; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said petition was signed by a
majority of the owners of record of land in the within described
territory by the owners of record of more than fifty percent (50%)
of the land in said territory, and by a majority of the electors
residing in said territory; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the said territory is not within the
corporate 16,tts of any other municipality and is contiguous to the
Village of Oakbrookv Illinois, and that the said petition )requested
that the said territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, and
in all respects conformed to the provisions and requirements of
Article 7, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 19$9 Editions
and was valid; and
vHEWEAS, it further appears that after the filing of the aria
petition as aforenaid, and pursuant to the order of the County Judge
n)" l)upage County, due notice having been given as by statute required,
a Itearing was had thereon and such other proceedings were had as is
1PI'vvided by law and that on the 19th day of April, 1962# an order
was entered of record in the County Court of CaFage County, Ulift*ia,
fixing the location and boundaries of sand territory as described in
aseid petition and ordering that the question of annexation of the soU

1,41EREAS, it further appears that a certified copy of said
or'-Jer was sent to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook,
Illinois, and is presently on file with said village Clerk-,
NNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows, to-wit:
The South 1314.2 feet of the East half of the Southeast
quarter of Section 25, Township 39 North, Range 11, also
that part of Section 35, Township 39 North, Range 11,
lying Easterly of the East right-of-way line of State
Route No. 33 as now platted and recorded (except there-
from that part thereof described as follows: Commencing
at the center of Section 35, for a place of beginning;
thence Northerly along the Westerly line of the Northeast
quarter of Section 35, to the South line of the NorthWest
quarter of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 35; thence Easterly along said South line, a
distance of 611.3 feet; thence Northerly and parallel
with tha East line of the West half of the Southwest
quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 35, a distance
of 100 feet; thence Westerly and parallel with the South
line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 35, a distance of 403.75
feet*,, thence Northerly and parallel with the West line of
the Northeast quarter of Section 35, to a point on the North
line of the South half of the Northwest quarter of the South-
west quarter of"the Northeasc' quarter of Section 35; thence
Easterly along said North line to a point on the East line
of the West half of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section M; thence Southerly along said East
line, a distance of 67.37 feet; thence Easterly and parallel
with the South line of the Northeast quarter of Section 35,
to a point on the center of Adams Street, as now platted and
records-d; dience Northerly nlonp said center line, to its
intersection with the center line of Spring Road, as now
platted and recorded; thence South 53 degrees 50 minutes
East along said center line of Spring Road, a distance of
71.9 feet; thence continuing along said center line South
61, degrees 46 minutes East a distance of 290.5 feet; thence
