D. 1962, there was .filed in I the County Court of Dupage County, Illinois, a verified petition requesting that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, :Illinois; and WHEREAS, it appears that the said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of record of land in the within described territory by the owners of record of more than fifty percent (50%) of the land in said territory, and by a majority of the electors residing in said territory; and WHEREAS, it appears that the said territory is not within the corporate 16,tts of any other municipality and is contiguous to the Village of Oakbrookv Illinois, and that the said petition )requested that the said territory be annexed to the Village of Oakbrook, and in all respects conformed to the provisions and requirements of Article 7, Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 19$9 Editions and was valid; and vHEWEAS, it further appears that after the filing of the aria petition as aforenaid, and pursuant to the order of the County Judge n)" l)upage County, due notice having been given as by statute required, a Itearing was had thereon and such other proceedings were had as is 1PI'vvided by law and that on the 19th day of April, 1962# an order was entered of record in the County Court of CaFage County, Ulift*ia, fixing the location and boundaries of sand territory as described in aseid petition and ordering that the question of annexation of the soU torritory, as hereinafter derari.bedp to the Village of Oakbrook be submitted to the corporate eustwities of the iii of ter ' r1 z final fiction thereon; and 1,41EREAS, it further appears that a certified copy of said or'-Jer was sent to the Village Clerk of the Village of Oakbrook, Illinois, and is presently on file with said village Clerk-, NNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the village of Oakbrook, DuPage County, Illinois: Section 1.
