S-41 - 03/13/1962 - AGREEMENT - Ordinances � - ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF
CERTAIN BODIES FROM YORK CEMETERY
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook heretofore on October 27,
1961, inacted* an ordinance vacating York Cemetery and ordering the
removal of the bodies from said Cemetery in accordance with a CONTRACT
OF SALE FROM YORK CEMETERY ASSOCIATION TO BUTLER COMPANY dated October
25, 1961; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance and contract, certain
bodies have been removed from York Cemetery by virtue of applications
made for such removal by heirs, relatives and next of kin of persons buried

there; and
WHEREAS, there are a number of persons buried in said Cemetery
whose heirs, relatives or next of kin cannot be found; and
WHEREAS, in order to fully effectuate the CONTRACT OF SALE
FROM YORK CEMETERY ASSOCIATION TO BUTLER COMPANY, dated October 25, 1961,
it will be necessary for the Village of Oak Brook to make application for
the removal of certain bodies from York Cemetery;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page County, Illinois, that:
SECTION 1: The President and/or Village Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized to make application for the removal of all bodies in
York Cemetery where no heirs, relatives or next of kin can be found.
SECTION 2: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, as provided by law.
