ORDINANCE NO. S-197
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
% IN THE WEST HALF OF .THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER
OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH, RANGE 11 '
EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN TO
THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK

Whereas, the owners of record of the territory described
below and all electors residing thereon have filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook petitions for the
annexation of said territory; and
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook have considered the question of the annexation of
the territory in said petitions; and _
Whereas, the territory described in said petitions is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, nor within the
limits of any Fire Protection District or Public Library District,
that said territory is contiguous to the corporate limits of the _
Village of Oak Brook and that all electors residing thereon have
j joined in said petitions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois,
t that:
{ Section 1. The territory described in said*petitio 3 and
legally described as follows:
North 225 feet (except the East 570 feet and the
West 202 feet thereof) of the South 1040 feet of
the West half of the Southeast quarter of Section
28, Township 39 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in York Township, DuPage County,
Illinois;
AND
Tract #1: The South 50.0 feet (except the West
202. 0 feet thereof) of the North 540.0 feet (except
the East 570.0 feet thereof) of the South 1040.0
feet of the West half of the Southeast quarter of
Section 28, Township 39 North, Range 11 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois.
NOTE: This tract is also known and described as t he
South 50.0 feet (except the West 202. 0 feet thereof)
of Lot 4 in Oakbrook Hills Plat of Survey according
to the plat thereof recorded October 23 , 1950, as
Document 608060 , in DuPage County, Illinois;
I AND
Tract #2: The West 267. 0 feet of the East 1090. 4
feet of the South 500.0 feet of the West half of the
Southeast quarter of Section 28, Township 39 North,
Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
I DuPage County, Illinois. NOTE : This tract is also
known and described as the East 267 .0 feet of Lot 5
in Oakbrook Hills Plat of Survey, according to the
plat thereof recorded October 23, 1950 , as Document
608060, in DuPage County, Illinois;

Tract #3: That part of the South 500.0 feet of the
West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 28,
lying West 253.4 feet of the center line of the
private road and except the East 570.0 feet of said
West half of the Southeast quarter of Section 28,
Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois. %

recorded August 21, 1950 , as Document 601944, in
DuPage County, Illinois';
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-8 of "The
Illinois Municipal Code of 1961" , as amended (Illinois Revised
Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7*1-08, 1969) .
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage and approval according to law.
Section 3. The Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook
is. hereby authorized and directed to record with the Recorder
Of Deeds of DuPage County a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurate map of the annexed territory.
