ORDINANCE NO.' ,
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Whereas, on the 19th day of March, 1970, the owners of record
of all land within the following described real estate, filed with
the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook, a Petition request-
ing annexation of their property; and

Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook have considered the question of the annexation of the
territory in said Petition; and
Whereas , the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Oak Brook have independently determined that said real estate
is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, that it is
contiguous to the present village limits of the Village of Oak Brook
and that all of the electors residing thereon have joined in said
Petition; f
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois:
Section 1. The territory described in said Petition and legally
described as follows:
The West 202 feet of the North 540 feet of the South
1040 feet of the West half of the Southeast quarter
of Section 28, Township 39 North, Mange 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in DuPage County,
Illinois; commonly known as 2718 Oak Brook Road,
Oak Brook, Illinois ,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-8 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, as amended (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24 ,
Section 7-1-8) .
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage
and approval according to law.
Section 3 . The Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook is
hereby authorized and directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds
of DuPage County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance to-
gether with an accurate Plat of the annexed territory.
