ORDINANCE NO. S-201
AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Whereas, on the 14th day of April, 1970 , the owner of record
of all land within the following described real estate filed with
the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook a petition requesting
the annexation to the Village of Oak Brook of the territory described
as, to-wit:
The West 233 feet of the East 1,323. 4 feet of the South
500 feet of the West half (1/2) of the South East quarter
(1/4) of Section 28 , Township 39 North, Range 11 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois .
Whereas , the President and Board of Trustees of the-Village of
Oak Brook have considered the question of the annexation of the
territory in said petition; and
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook have independently determined that said real estate is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, fire protection
district, or library district, that it is contiguous to the present
village limits of the Village of Oak Brook and that no electors
reside thereon. - --
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, that:
Section 1. The territory described in said petition and legally
described as follows:
The 'West 233 feet of the East 1, 323 . 4 feet of the South
500 feet of the West half (1/2) of the South East quarter
(1/4) of Section 28, Township 39 North, Range 11 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois ,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois , pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-8 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, as amended (Illinois Revised Statutes , Chapter 24 ,
Section 7-1-8) .
Section 2 . This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage
and approval according to law.
Section 3. The Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook is
hereby authorized and directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds
of DuPage County, Illinois , a certified copy of this ordinance to- -_-_
gether with an accurate plat of the annexed territory. _-
