ORDINANCE NO. S-217
1971 ELECTION ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois , that :
Section 1 . There shall be a regular election of officers in
the Village on the 20th day of April, 1971.
Section 2 . At such election there shall be elected one (1)
Village President for a four (4) year term; three (3) Village Trustees
for a four (4) year term; and one (1) Village Clerk for a four (4)
year term. The ballot to be used in such election shall be in the
form prescribed by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village
Clerk to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the
election, and to cause a sample of such ballot to be published prior
to the day of election in a newspaper of general circulation published
in the Village , and to be provided the necessary election supplies
for each voting district or precinct.
Section 3 . At least fifteen (15) but not more than thirty (30)
days before the election, the Clerk shall cause to be published in
such newspaper a notice of election, which shall be substantially
as follows :
NOTICE OF ELECTION
On the 20th day of April , 1971, there will be a regular
election in the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County,
Illinois , to elect one (1) Village President for a four
(4) year term; three (3) Village Trustees for a four (4)
year term; and one (1) Village Clerk for a four (4) year
term.
The precincts and polling places for such election
shall be:
PRECINCT NO. 1: The entire Village of Oak Brook
POLLING PLACE: The Oak Brook Fire Station
1212 Oak Brook Road (31st Street)
Polls shall be open from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. of that day .

Section 4 . The precincts or voting districts for such election
and the polling places shall be those designated in the preceding
section.
i Section 5 . The judges of election shall be such as shall be
hereafter designated by the President and Board of Trustees to
serve as election officials .
Section 6 . The said election and all matters pertaining thereto
shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by statute for the con

duct of a regular election for Village officers .
