AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE 414,E
VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS AIL
Whereas, on the 17th day of August, 1972, the owner of record
of all land within the fallowing described real estate. filed with
the Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook a petition requesting
the annexation to the Village of Oak Brook of the territory describe4.
as, to-wit:
Lot "A" in Vincent E. Ryan's Survey of the South 600 ft. of
the East 570 ft. of the West half of the SE's of Section 28,
Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian according to the Plat thereof Recorded August 16,
1950 as Doc. #601444 in DuPage County, Illinois - also known
as the West 285 ft. of the East 570 ft. of the .South 600 ft.
of the West 15 of SEh of Section 28, Township 39 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook have considered the question of the annexation of the
territory in said petition; and
Whereas, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Oak Brook have independently determined that said real estate is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, fire protection
district, or library district, that it is contiguous to the present
village limits of the Village of Oak Brook and that no electors
reside thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, DuPage County, Illinois, that:
Section 1. The territory described in said petition and legally

the East 570 ft. of the West half of the SEA, of Section 28,
Township 39 North, Range 11, East of the Third. Principal
Meridian according to the Plat thereof Recorded August 16,

as the West 285 ft. of the East 570 ft. of the South 600 ft.
of the West I.; of SEC of Section 28, Township 39 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Oak Brook,
Illinois, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-1-8 of the Illinois
Municipal Code, as amended (Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24,
Section 7-1-8).
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage
and approve according to law.
Section 3. The Village Clerk of the Village of Oak Brook is
hereby Authorized and directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds
of DuPage County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinance to-
gether with an accurate pl&i of the annexed territory.
