S-410 - 05/31/1978 - ZONING - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. G-60, AS AMENDED, THE.SAME BEING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS, OF 1966", RELATIVE TO REZONING AND RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN TERRI- TORY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "VILLAGE GREENS PROPERTY." WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook determined it necessary and advisable to consider the rezoning and reclassification of the property hereinafter described from the B1 Local Shopping Center District classification to the R3 Single-Family Detached Residence classification under the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, in keeping with the recommendation of the Plan Commission of the Village made in its review of the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village and the goals and objectives recited therein, and the general planning endeavor undertaken by the Board of Trustees relative to the area known as the 31st Street Corridor; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees directed the Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission of the Village to review and consider said proposal and to render their recommendations thereon; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, after public notice as required by law, held a public hearing to receive and consider testimony on said proposal, and has submitted its report and recommendation thereon, which report and recommendation has been reviewed and considered by the President and Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission held a public meeting to consider said proposal and has also submitted its report and recommendations thereon, which report and recommendations have also been reviewed and considered by the President and Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook deem the passage of this Ordinance to be in the best interest and in furtherance of the public health, safety, and general welfare of the Village of Oak Brook. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook, Du Page and Cook Counties, Illinois, that: SECTION 1: The provisions of the preamble hereinabove set forth are hereby restated herein as though herein fully set forth. SECTION 2: The following described property, to wit: Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,. 8, and 9 in Oak Brook Village Green Subdivision being a subdivision of the Southwest X of Section 26 and Lots 1 and 5 in Oak Brook Investment Company Assessment Plat No. 3 of part of said Section 26, Town 29 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Du Page County, Illinois; be and the same is hereby rezoned and reclassified into the R3 Single Family Detached Residence District zoning classification, as provided under Section VII (E) and made pursuant to Section XIII (I) of Ordinance No. G-60, as amended, the same being the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Oak Brook, Illinois, of 1966. SECTION- 3: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to modify-and amend the Zoning Map of the Village of Oak Brook and all other pertinent documents and records to reflect the rezoning and reclassification of the property hereinbefore described, all in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and as otherwise provided by law. SECTION 4: All ordinances, rules, and regulations of the Village of Oak Brook which are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed solely to the extent of the conflict, and only as they apply to the property hereinbef ore described. SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its approval and publication as by Statute in such cases made and provided.
