ORDINANCE S- 456
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIP?
PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, three- fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities
of the Village of Oak Brook presently holding office have determined
that it is no longer necessary or useful or in the best interest of
the Village of Oak Brook to retain ownership of certain property
described on Exhibit "A" ' and
I"WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24 , Section 11- 76-4 of the
Illinois Revised Statutes , the corporate authorities can dispose of
such personal property in the manner set forth in the mannerdesig-
nated by ordinance ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES ,
ILLINOIS as follows:
Section 1 : That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to sell the personal property described in Exhibit "A" now
owned by the Village of Oak Brook, said sale to be conducted by solici-
tation of bids for the sale of said property .
Section 2 : That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to publish an "Invitation To Bidders" substantially in con-
formance with the attached Exhibit 'B"
Section 3 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
Passed this 9th day of September 1.980 .
