AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY -- 1955 AP-IERICAN LA FRANCE AERIAL LADDER TRUCK
WHEREAS, three- fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities of
the Village of Oak Brook presently holding office have determined that it
is no longer necessary or useful or in the best interest of the Village
to retain ownership of certain property described as a 1955 American
LaFrance Aerial Ladder Truck and appurtenant equipment ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24 , Section 11-76-4, of the Illinois
Revised Statutes the corporate authorities can dispose of such personal
property in the manner set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Oak Brook has advertised for bids for the
sale of such surplus equipment ; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids have been duly received and considered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows : -
Section 1: That the bid of the Saegertown Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment ., Inc. , Saegertown, Pennsylvania for said 1955 American LaFrance
Aerial Ladder Truck and appurtenant equipment in the amount of Thirty
Thousand One Hundred Eighty Five Dollars ($30 , 185. 00) be and is hereby
accepted.
Section 2 : That the Village :Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to transfer said property as described in Section I hereof for
the accepted purchase price of Thirty Thousand One Hundred Eighty Five
Dollars ($30, 185 . 00) and further to execute any required documentation
to effect the transfer of ownership of said equipment .
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
Passed this 17th day of March , 1981 .
