AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY - SURPLUS FIRE HOSE
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities have heretofore solicited
bids for the sale, of certain surplus property described as 3 inch
fire hose ; and
WHEREAS, bids were received on a portion of said fire hose
which were accepted pursuant to the passage of Ordinance S- 483
on October 27 , 1981 ; and
WHEREAS, no bids were received on ten (10) lengths of 50 foot
3 inch Keystone fabric hose with 22 inch brass couplings ; and
WHEREAS, the Adams Volunteer Fire Department , Adams , Wisconsin,
has submitted a bid for said hose in the amount of Fifty Dollars
and No Cents ($50. 00) ; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem the acceptance of this
bid to be appropriate and proper in light of prior advertisement
and the fact that no bids were received for said hose ;
11'!OW� THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS as follows :
Section 1 : That t:=e bid of the Adams Volunteer Fire Department ,
Adams , Wisconsin, in the amount of Fifty Dollars and 'No Cents
('50. 00) for ten (10) lenths o'f 50 foot 3 inch Keystone fabric
hose with 22 inch brass couplings be and is hereby accepted.
Section 2 : That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to transfer said property as described in Section 1 hereof
for t','--e accented purchase price and further to execute any required_
documentation to effect the transfer of ownership of said equipment .
Section 3 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
