S- 492 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PART OF GRANT STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Oak Brook have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and public interest to be subserved in such as to warrant the vacation of part of the street described herein; and WHEREAS , it has been determined that the best interest of the Village would be served by the vacation of the portions of the street herein after described; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK, DU PAGE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows : Section 1 : That part of Grant Street in the Village of Oak Brook, as described on the Vacation Plat thereof, attached hereto labelled Exhibit "A" and hereby made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby vacated. The part of Grant Street hereby vacated is legally described as : All of 33 . 0 ft. wide Grant Street lying south of the south right-of-way line extended of Wood Avenue and north of the north right-of-way line extended of Glendale Avenue , as shown on the Plat of Glendale Subdivision, a Subdivision of part of the east half of the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 39 north, Range 11 , east of the third principal Meridian, also part of the east half of the northwest quarter of section 1, township 38 north, range 11 , east of the third principal meridian, also a Resubdivision of Lo-,:s 1 , 23, 3 , and 4 , block 2 , Plat of the town of Fullersberg, according to the Plat thereof recorded September 8 , 1926 as document 220961 , in DuPage County, Illinois . Section 2 : That the Village of Oak Brook hereby reserves and retains a permanent easement over all the property described in this Section for public utilities and drainage including any poles , wires , pipes , conduits , sewer mains , water mains or any other facility or equipment for the maintenance and operation of any public utility now or hereafter located in the property described as : A 12 foot strip of land 6 feet on each side of the east line of the west half off' the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 39 north, Range 11 east of the third principal meridian lying south of the south right-of-way line of Wood Avenue and lying north of the north right-of-way line of Glendale Avenue. S- 492 Page 3 Grant Street Vacation Also Part of the southwest quarter of Section 36 , Township 39 north, Range 11 east of the third principal meridian described as follows , beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1 , Block 4 in Glendale Subdivision of part of the east half of the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 39 north, Range 11 east of the third principal meridian and also part of the east half of the northwest quarter of Section 1 , Township 38 north, Range 11 east of the third principal meridian and a Resubdivision of Lots 1 to 4 in Block 2 of the town of Fullersburg , according to the Plat of said Glendale Subdivision recorded September 8 , 1926 as Document 220961 , in DuPage County, Illinois , thence northerly on the west line of said Lot 1 10 .0 feet, thence westerly parallel to the south line of said Lot 1 2 . 87 feet to a point 6.0 feet east of the east line of the west half of said southwest quarter, thence southerly parallel to said east line 20 .0 feet , thence easterly parallel to the north line of Lot 16, Block 4 of said Glendale Subdivision 3 .01 feet to a point on the west line of said Lot 16, thence northerly on said west line 10 . 0 feet to the place of beginning, in DuPage County, Illinois . Section 3 : That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
